Christmas in the Clouds Flagstaff Fundraiser

The makers of 'Christmas in the Clouds', the lovable holiday romantic comedy that follows the trials and tribe-ulations of Native American love has been very successful in raising awareness to the whole world about the plight of the Native American currently residing in the United States. The cast and crew have traveled all over the United States, to twenty-five cities, continuing to reach out to those who wish to learn more about the modern experiences of the contemporary Native American, some of which are not nearly as lighthearted as those depicted in 'Christmas in the Clouds'. The next stop in this tour will be in the great city of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Nearly 250,000 Native Americans over 21 federally recognized tribes are housed in the 'Grand Canyon State', so it makes perfect sense for a fundraiser to be held in the very hot, but dry state of Arizona. And with recent immigration laws poised to displace a large number of inhabitants, the timing cannot be more perfect. At the fundraiser in flagstaff AZ event, there were several screenings of the film 'Christmas in the Clouds' which is to be followed by a discussion of the film and its effect on the Native American society at large.
