Christmas in the Clouds Synopsis

'Christmas in the Clouds' is a classic romantic comedy set at a southwest ski resort owned by a Native American Tribe. It is one of the few films that feature an almost full Native American cast. The film was featured at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. The story starts out with a misunderstanding through an online dating site. Joe Clouds of Fire and Tina Pisati were paired through the site, but Joe has lied about his age. He is actually old enough to be her father.

Meanwhile the resort is expecting a luxury hotel critic, but no one knows who it is. The reservations manager Mary is supposed to keep a look out for the critic so that they can make sure that he or she has the best experience while at the hotel. Mary thinks that the prim and proper Tina is the critic when it is actually Mr. O’Malley. Mr. O’Malley does not look like your typical critic. He is not dressed too well and appears to be drunk. There is also another case of mistaken identity when Tina thinks that her love interest is Joe’s son Ray. Tina does her best to get Ray’s attention and Ray notices. Ray does not want to respond because he is ethical and does not want get involved with whom everyone thinks is the critic.

So Tina gets upgraded to a luxury suite while Ray gets the budget room. Your typical plot of mistaken identity plays out. Joe knows that Tina is his internet pen-pal, but decides not to say anything. Everything eventually works out in the end, but no before a comedic show of mishaps plays out.
